Dear Neighbor,
The American River Parkway is one of the best things about living in Sacramento. Like you, I enjoy the American River almost every day – running on the levee, cycling the trail, watching herons, and fishing.
But the river must be respected. The levees standing between our homes and winter floods must be inspected, maintained, and secured.
I've spent 39 years as a licensed Professional Civil Engineer and 10 years as a Certified Floodplain Manager. I know what these structures need, what the repairs actually cost, and how to get them done without sacrificing the clean water and wildlife habitat that make our river worth protecting in the first place.
I’ve served on the American River Flood Control District since 2025, and I’d be honored to continue protecting the levees and your home with your vote.

Levees that exceed the standard, not just meet it. Standards are a floor and they move. Our system should already clear the next one.
On Time Maintenance
Maintenance that passes inspection, every year. Vegetation, trash, erosion, and encampments. We cannot fall behind or settle when the safety of our homes is at stake.
Open Government & Transparency
Open meetings and answers about taxpayer spending. Property owners pay for this protection and they should be able to see where their taxes go and get answers to questions.
Protecting Habitat & Wildlife
Protect the American River Parkway for migrating birds and fish. Improve water quality, restore habitat, and stop illegal dumping.
